My Life Story

Starting Point

I was born in a small town in China in the 90s, where opportunities were limited but dreams were not. My parents, who worked tirelessly to support our family, instilled in me the value of hard work and determination. As a child, I had a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge. Despite facing many obstacles, including financial hardships and an education system that prioritized memorization over creativity, I excelled academically and became the first person in my family to attend university.

Breaking the Mold

In university, I studied English literature and discovered my passion for writing. However, according to societal expectations, a degree in literature would lead to a teaching job, which was not something I desired. I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue a career in writing. I worked part-time jobs and freelanced as a writer to gain experience and build my portfolio. Eventually, my hard work paid off and I secured a full-time position at a publishing company, where I was able to hone my skills and publish my first book.

Embracing Change

Despite my success in my chosen career, I felt something was missing in my life. I realized that I needed to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone to grow as a person. I decided to move to a new country where I didn't know anyone and didn't speak the language. It was a scary but exhilarating experience and it forced me to become more independent and adaptable. I met new people, learned a new language, and immersed myself in a different culture. The experience broadened my perspective and gave me the courage to take risks and embrace change. In conclusion, my journey has been filled with challenges, triumphs, and personal growth. From my humble beginnings in a small town to achieving my dreams and embracing change, I have learned that hard work, determination, and an open mind will lead to a fulfilling life. I am grateful for every experience, both good and bad, as they have shaped me into the person I am today.
